The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science at Diponegoro University (FPIK Undip) has once again achieved a proud accomplishment on the international stage. At the 11th International Conference on Aquaculture Indonesia (ICAI) 2025, held on October 29–30, 2025, at the Wyndham Hotel Surabaya, FPIK Undip successfully brought home four international awards across various categories.

 The ICAI 2025 event is an annual scientific forum that brings together academics, researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders in the aquaculture field from various countries to present innovations, cutting-edge research, and the latest technology in the aquatic farming industry.

In this activity, FPIK Undip sent participants through the support of the World Class University (WCU) – Student Go International Program, which provides funding for students to enhance their global exposure and competence through international conferences.

A total of 19 students, including Ninik Umi Hartanti, Amelia Rahmawati, Abidin Nur, Ahmad Naqib Farga, Habibi Satrio Romadhon, Commodor Tirta Syah, Muhammad Prabu, Salsabila Sambhara Putri, Alif Athallah Fathifauzan, Andika Dinar Saputra, Mochammad Ikhsan Azhariansyah, Muhajir Sidik, Rizki Ahmad Fachreza, Siti Dinda Chrisnawati, Andalusia Siti Nurazizah, Nadia Nurul Izzah, Narendra Rhayszha Putra, Elvira Clara Yanadea, and Marisa Putri Syabina, received WCU Faculty funding, which covered conference registration fees, transportation, and accommodation during the event. In addition, 7 FPIK Undip lecturers also attended as presenters and participants using personal funding.

FPIK Undip’s participation in ICAI 2025 resulted in proud achievements with four awards, namely:
1. Best Contributor Presenter in ICAI 2025
2. Best Presenter, awarded to:
– Abidin Nur (Doctoral Student in Aquatic Resource Management) with the topic Hatchery System and Health Management, titled “Enhancing Early Larval Performance of Penaeus monodon Using Red Microalga Porphyridium cruentum in a Combined Diet Strategy.”


– Andalusia Siti Nuraziza (Bachelor’s Student in Marine Science) with the topic Innovation and Technology for Resilient Aquaculture.
3. Best Session Chair, awarded to Dr. Lestari Lakhsmi Widowati, S.Pi., M.Pi.

The head of the delegation emphasized that participation in ICAI 2025 aims to strengthen the academic capacity of the FPIK Undip community, expand international research networks, and encourage students and lecturers to compete at the global level. Achieving these four awards serves as evidence of FPIK Undip’s commitment to enhancing the quality of research and the development of knowledge in the field of aquaculture.
