The final exam marks the end of a doctoral student’s journey at Diponegoro University. The path to a doctoral degree is challenging, encompassing various stages, including colloquiums, seminars, qualifications, and the rigorous process of writing scientific articles. On January 5, 2026, the Aquatic Resources Management Doctoral Study Program graduated its 204th doctorate, Burhanuddin Ihsan, a Doctoral Student from the Department of Water Resources Management (MSDP), as the first graduate of the Class of 2023.

The final exam took place in a hybrid format in Building J, Room 307, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM WIB. The dissertation research presented was entitled “Utilization of Noni Leaf Extract (Morinda citrifolia) to Improve the Performance of Tiger Shrimp Larvae (Penaeus monodon).” Based on the research, noni leaf extract can be used as an antibacterial against V. parahaemolyticus. In silico analysis revealed 15 compounds with antibacterial properties, seven of which have potential as drug candidates. Noni leaf extract can improve the performance of tiger prawn larvae with weight growth of 5.167 grams, length growth of 0.5 cm and specific growth of 0.0334%/day as well as a survival rate of 53.33%.

The Closed Examination was led by Prof. Agus Trianto, ST., M.Sc. Ph.D (Dean of FPIK), as the Chair of the Session and Internal Examiner, accompanied by Dr. Aninditia Sabdaningsih, S.Si., M.Si. (Study Program Manager and Co-Promoter), as the Secretary of the Examination Session with the Examination Team Members consisting of; Rukisah, S.Pi., MP., Ph.D (External Examiner); Dr. Putut Har Riyadi, S.Pi, M.Si (Internal Examiner); Prof. Dr. Ir. Slamet Budi Prayitno, M.Sc (Promoter); Prof. Dr. Ir. Desrina, M.Sc (Co-Promoter I), Dr. Diah Ayuningrum, S.Pd., M.Si (Co-Promoter II). Based on the assessment results of the Closed Exam Examining Team, Burhanuddin Ihsan, I was declared PASSED with several notes, becoming the 204th graduate of the Doctoral Program in Aquatic Resources Management, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Diponegoro University.
